About

Wells Maine Seafood RestaurantWilliam “Billy” Hobbs is no stranger to the restaurant business. Starting in high school, Billy worked at Boones Restaurant in Portland, Maine and when he went off to college, he worked at The Unicorn and Lion in Kennebunk, Maine, Houlihan’s in Atlanta, Georgia and The Truffle Hound at Sugarloaf Mountain in Maine. After gaining the necessary experience to take the next step, Billy became the original owner and operator of Billy’s Chowder House, which became a very successful restaurant on Mile Road in Wells, Maine.

Years later, the opportunity arose when the former Lord’s Restaurant in Wells Harbor became available. Billy had the vision of renovating the existing building, being sure to open up the beautiful panoramic views spanning the working harbor and protected marsh and estuaries. The decision was made and Hobbs Harborside was created.

The goal and mission of Hobbs Harborside is to serve fresh and delicious food while in an idyllic setting to accommodate our close-knit locals and friendly tourists. The views are spectacular and unsurpassed from any other restaurant in town. We have two chefs with many years of experience and ability, constantly creating new delightful dishes. Our servers are friendly and will help you with your orders by offering suggestions and always showing a smile.

Hobbs Harborside’s menu is a variety of grilled, broiled, baked, sautéed and fried foods consisting of fresh seafood, meat, poultry and vegetables. We have many home-made desserts, so be sure to ask your server about what is available.
